The last couple of years we have had less work and more problems finding or getting work. Why? well!!!
Teaching ENGLISH has become harder to do being that you will have to have some working papers to work at a school, not all schools require that you have working papers but not many are hiring without. In order to find the ones that are hiring without you will have to either call and ask, know someone, or take the chance that after your interview that you will get lucky. I wouldn't call them or email them to warn them that you are illegally living in ITALY and want an interview. Impress them, and see what happens. Sometimes people will go against rules and give you a job because you are great, or offer something that they haven't found from someone with papers!!! Take your chance...and act like you want the job!
If you are applying for a job teaching English privately or not...don't send a CV written in Italian impress them by sending it English unless they ask otherwise. I know you want to impress someone with what you know in Italian, but the job is that you are Mother Tongue English. Really looks bad, and honestly I don't even look at a CV written in Italian that is for an English JOB.
If you are planning on moving to Italy look up forums about working and living in ITALY/ROME and see what you can find, sending emails to a potential employer about coming to Italy in 1 year will give you little response. In fact this is why I am starting this blog....Receiving a lot of emails from potential employees with these kinds of questions. As much as I love to help everyone that makes the MOVE TO ROME I can't.
I am an EVENTS PLANNER I meet a lot of people that ask if I know someone that give ENGLISH LESSONS, housing, babysitting, live in & live out aupairs, etc.
Right now JULY & AUGUST is dead for WORK not just for ENGLISH SPEAKERS but for most...it affects ENGLISH TUTORS MORE....Mid Sept things will pick up again.
